About the team:
Affiliated to the Forage Processing and Storage Institute of NAU, the team has one professor and two lecturers dedicating in the studies on Forage Storage and Processing, Ruminant Nutrition and Fodder, Development and Utilization of Indigenous Lactobacillus
Major projects undertaken over the past three years:
1. Technologies of silage harvesting, processing and anti-oxydative spoilage packaging, supported by the National Key Technologies R&D Program, 2011—2015;
2. Demonstration of key technologies of forage safety and efficient utilization in Tibet, supported by the Tibetan 12th Five Year Plan Program, 2012 —2013;
3. Establishment and demonstration of technology systems of combining agriculture and animal husbandry in Tibet to Increase Tibetan Farmers’ Income, supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2012—2015;
4. Application and demonstration of technologies for efficient cultivation of fine-breed livestock in agricultural areas, supported by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2012—2015;
5. Technologies offorage processing and mixing for healthy dairy cattle cultivation, supported by the National Spark Program, 2013—2015;
6. Silage in mixing forage with major Tibetan crop straws, supported by the Agricultural Technologies Industrialization Program, 2013— 2015.
